Over the weekend, I had my buddy which is also a photographer (Phillip Ritchie) drop by my studio. He saw a video camera at my work station and started to film my studio from outside to the inside. He even narrated too. Funny thing was that I didn’t know that he was going to video it. We made two videos, the first one we ended up laughing way too much as it felt like a “Benny Hill Show” event. Needless to say, it was a fun day and here’s the video so that everyone can see what my studio is like.

Oh also…the studio is located in the city of Orange CA and it’s 1000 sq. ft. It’s in an industrial location and extremely quiet as well as ample parking as you’ll see in the video. Studio is available for rent, inquire within. Orlando Perez Photography studio

GREAT success on the last meeting. I want to personally thank each one of you that came by. Definitely will have more and more each month.

I will be having a monthly meet up at my studio for makeup artists, models and photographers to talk about makeup, photo shoots, different styles of beauty and what is required and needed to achieve in a certain look. This will be a meet up for those in the local photography industry to share their expertise with others.
The meet up will be an open discussion group/forum where ideas can be spoken about on how to create beauty or editorial shots that will make your work stand out. Make up artists can discuss with a photographer on how to get the photographer to give you the makeup shot you need. Photographers can discuss with each other what type of model(s) you need for the type of shot required. Models and makeup artists can also find out what the photographer expects from their team.

These meetings will be a chance for models, photographers and makeup artists to bring in their books or images that they have created. Everyone is also welcome to bring in ideas they would like to create from a magazine or the internet as well.

There is no charge for this open forum discussion. This will be every month.

Professional photographer offering evenings only at my studio for beauty/makeup photo shoot three looks for $100. Makeup artists bring your model(s), model(s) bring your makeup artists. Share the expense between you. You will get one image per look edited and retouched. That is three images for your lookbook up to 11 X 14.

This is a project for the month of June.

Currently looking for several projects that entails fashion, beauty and fashion topless.

Fashion: Model must be female and minimum 5’9″.

Beauty: Model must be female and with a beautiful face as well as skin. No height requirement for this.

Fashion topless: Female model with great fashion figure. This will be done in a manner as you see in Italian Vogue magazine.

This is the beautiful Kensy Reissig from Otto Models that I had such a great pleasure of shooting. She’s very professional and a beautiful model to work with.

The shot was taken in the city of Anaheim. This was a fashion shoot for a designer swimsuit.

This was shot with a Canon 1DS Mark II, the sun was used as the main source and a Profoto ring flash was used for the fill.

When I first started photography, I not only started with film but also did nothing but outdoors. Shooting outdoors is not the easiest simply because the sun doesn’t care what you’re doing or where you’re at. There’s a lot of factors that we as professional photographers have to keep an eye on. First, we have to think of the weather, is it going to rain, is it going to be cloudy, is it blue skies and which direction is the sun going towards? There are other factors as well but you get the hint. This shot was done in a mansion outdoors in Los Angeles. Weather was perfect as it had blue skies and not a single cloud was intruding the sun. This was shot using a Canon 1DsMII, strobe lighting and was shot camera left. Also a medium softbox was used in this scenario. Model was BEAUTIFUL as you can see. ISO @ 100, f/6.4@125th, focal length 57mm.

I submitted several images to a magazine (still in the works) that showcased different styles of vintage clothing. This was shot at a park and the model’s car was used. Model’s name is: Kayla McGee and is signed with an agency. Makeup was done by: Dominique Lerma. Hair by: Courtney Wesson. Styling by: Bita Abdolmohammadi.

Settings: Profoto ring flash, 100ISO, 125th@f/22.

Here I shot a beautiful model named Tiffany Toth which is agency represented. This was shot for commercial purposes and it’s for my look book as well as Tiffany’s. I had a great makeup artist that did light hair which she did marvelous. The makeup artist’s name is Jen Evans.

Settings: Camera right, small softbox, 100ISO, 125th@f4.
